Founded in 2006 by Kira Makela, Tourwise Ireland has been providing exceptional destination services throughout the island of Ireland. With nearly 20 years of experience in crafting high-quality itineraries for both group and individual travel, no project is too challenging or group too small or large for us to handle.
Each of our tour itineraries is tailor-made to suit the specific needs of the group, ensuring that all client wishes and special requirements are taken into account. With our expertise and local knowledge, we can offer alternative options and solutions whenever necessary.

The Tourwise Ireland team is a creative and dynamic group that offers professional services with a personal touch. Despite our busy office, we take pride in responding promptly to every enquiry we receive.
Our team is multilingual, fluent in English and the Nordic languages. With our Nordic background, we understand the expectations of your clients when planning their tours. We have a fantastic selection of local and Nordic-speaking tour guides to collaborate with. Moreover, our entire team possesses tour guide qualifications and is more than willing to join a tour coach when needed.
Speaking of coaches, we collaborate with the top coach companies in the country, ensuring the safety and comfort of our groups with skilled and reliable drivers for transfers.

Every member of our team has incorporated their hobbies and interests into their work, whether it be horse riding, hill walking, golfing, gardening, cooking, choir singing, or playing in a brass band.
While we lead busy lives, we always seek out new experiences that we can try and potentially incorporate into our tours.

Our Location
Our office is situated in the charming heritage town of Cahir, in County Tipperary. It is perfectly located in the heart of the town, which itself lies at the centre of Tipperary, and consequently, at the centre of Ireland. We are truly where it all happens!
Cahir is a vibrant and lively small town, renowned for its castle, recognized as one of the world’s best film locations, as well as its other tourist attractions. It is a fantastic place to work, with friendly people, a strong community, abundant activities and sights, exciting festivals, cosy pubs, exceptional food, breathtaking landscapes, and excellent connections to major cities such as Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick. This sentiment holds true for all of Ireland!
